is an embodied spiritual care centre  exploring the direct spiritual connection available to us through the body

We are a body-based psychotherapy clinic practicing online across Ontario. Our goal is to invite you into direct contact with your own inner teacher, healer and guide.

Through land, body, and spirit-based practices, we work to resolve separation and step deeper into purpose, connection, and vitality through the body - so that you can be who you came here to be. Our world needs those gifts that only you can offer.

a bit about emily

My psychotherapy practice is rooted years of intentional meandering in creative arts, folklore, transpersonal somatics, grief work, and community justice organizing. After being diagnosed with PTSD in my teens, I set my heart to finding compassionate ways to repair trauma that were accessible, impactful, and could be shared in community. This brought me to training in embodiment practices like trauma yoga, birthwork, expressive arts, ritual, ceremony, and ancestral practices in digesting activation (trauma) and building resilience. As I have integrated the difficult parts of my story, I have felt space open up within me to begin to experience my body as a tool for communing with the Sacred. I hope that through our work together, you can begin to access the Sacred through your own senses too. I take my responsibility in this work quite seriously - which is why I believe it should be done with reverent playfulness, curiosity, and a commitment to the joyful disruption of systems which are no longer habitable for us.

In my personal life, I am an artist and musician, a parent, a nature-lover, an Earth-based spiritual practitioner, and a neurodivergent (autistic) nerd who loves all things magic, folklore, and cycles. I'm currently pursuing a second MA in Divinities with a focus on ecstatic states of spiritual union and the sensory body as a tool of divine communication. When I'm not in the office, I'm probably researching spiritual-somatic-ecological practices, reading the biographies of the female saints, engaging in art-making or music producing, thrifting, snuggling and wrestling my friends, or revelling in the wild world with my partner, kiddo and beloved community.

somatics of the sacred

We work virtually across Ontario from Thadinadonnih - Mohawk for "the place where they built" - colonially called Guelph, ON. We operate on vital ecological homeland to many humans and more-than-human beings and ecosystems - near the place where the Umnemosa River (Missisauga for "black dog" or "dead dog") meets the Speed River. This land is the home of the Chonnonton (Neutral) and Haudenosaunee First Peoples, and is part of the Between-the-Lakes purchase (Treaty 3) with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We acknowledge that lands and bodies are not neutral, and are shaped by the stories of those who came before us. We seek to honour these stories and repair harm held within them from the historical and ongoing impacts of colonization, land theft, assimilation, and racial injustice that inhabit our bodies and patterns of relating.
