$125-200 sliding scale

This interactive workshop is an embodied exploration of how our internal and hormonal rhythms relate to our mental health.

Here we will explore:

  • how the various stages of the menstrual cycle can impact our feelings, moods, desires, and energy levels

  • the relationships between the nervous system and hormonal systems, including the impacts of stress and trauma on periods, hormones, and overall wellbeing

  • how periods can amplify pre-existing mental health conditions, and how we can support ourselves through it

  • how to harness the wisdom of the menstrual cycle to align with the needs of our bodies, digest unprocessed stress and trauma, and invite deeper rest and joy into our lives

  • embodied practices to harmonize your life with your cycle

  • cyclical wisdom for collective liberation

This workshop is for anyone with periods or a uterus, as well as trans women or post-menopausal bodies wanting to learn more about the menstrual cycle and explore cyclical living within their own context. We will use both menstrual and lunar cycles as templates for cyclical living to make this work more meaningful, whether you get a period or not.

Pelvic wellness, trauma-informed organic movement, and Earth-Based rituals of connection for all genders and bodies.

Cycle Somatics is an embodied exploration of internal and planetary rhythms.

I created Cycle Somatics (formerly called YogaLuna) in 2016 after studying 500hours of Trauma Informed, Restorative, Ashtanga/Vinyasa, Perinatal and Pelvic Yoga, with an emphasis on cyclical consciousness. In my personal life, I was noticing the ways that my body craved rhythmic, non-linear approaches to movement. Unable to find classes that met my needs, I blended my love of yoga, ceremony, holistic pelvic care, and Earth-Based spiritualities, and created my own.

SomaLuna invites fluid, organic, and non-linear movements into the body to create change within our systems. By moving organically and being present with what is here, we can move with curiosity and autonomy, and meet our protective patterns with a softness that allows change.

SomaLuna follows the cycles of the sun, moon, and Earth, and invites us to notice our own rhythms as we move deeper into a felt sense of connection with our bodies and with the land we are on. This facilitates a connection with the rhythmic faculties of our bodies, including our hormonal and pelvic systems, our breath, and our hearts. Classes include opening and closing Earth-Based rituals, organic movement, and a time for sharing in community.

Classes commencing again in the New Year (2025) in Guelph, ON.
